The Arts

Music, Art and Drama work in tandem with the sports programme to broaden and enhance the academic curriculum. The art room, where boys from Year 2 upwards are taught by a specialist teacher, is a hive of activity. The boys work in a range of styles and media. Examples of their work are regularly exhibited around the school.

Each year sees a number of dramatic productions; Year 1 perform a play at Christmas whilst all the boys from Year 2 upwards are involved in the Carol Service. The boys from Year 3 put on a production one evening in the Spring term on a proper stage and all classes have assemblies to which parents are invited.

Music is a very important part of Keble life and a highly qualified team of visiting music teachers further enrich the music department, the benefits of which can be seen in the quality of the boys’ instrumental performances, and in the choir, and in our ‘Music Makers’ Concert during the Spring Term.
