The Arts
Music, Art and Drama work in tandem with the sports programme to broaden and enhance the academic curriculum. All senior boys have lessons in Art and often do so in small teaching groups which allows for ongoing guidance and constructive support. Boys work in a range of styles and media. Examples of their work are regularly exhibited around the school.
There is an annual school production that takes place in the Spring term. Boys from Year 5 upwards audition and many then go on to take part in rehearsals and the final performance to parents and guests. School assemblies also allow boys to demonstrate dramatic skills.
Music is a very important part of Keble life and a highly qualified team of visiting music teachers further enriches the work of the music department. There are opportunities for public performance at the Carol Service and the Summer Concert as well as occasional playing in assembly. At these events, which take place in local churches, the various choirs, ensembles and soloists perform their pieces as does the school orchestra, which rehearses weekly.
