Pastoral Care

Keble has an excellent reputation for creating a school environment in which the boys feel happy safe, and can be themselves. The key figure in pastoral care of the individual remains the Form Tutor who watches over academic, personal and social development and is the first point of contact for parents.

The House system with points awarded for quality and effort in the classroom and for drama, music and sport rewards positive attitudes.

A real sense of belonging and pride in the school is engendered through the structured introduction of responsibilities, where the senior boys earn and are selected to undertake significant roles which support and enrich their experience. These include the 'Big Brother' scheme where older pupils support boys in the Junior School and the School Council (elected by their peers) where class representatives meet to discuss and make recommendations on a range of topics which can have a genuine impact on aspects of daily organisation and the boys' experience of school.
