This Children’s Mental Health Week (4-10 February 2019), is taking steps to be Healthy: Inside and Out.
For this year’s theme Healthy: Inside and Out, Place2Be is asking everyone to think about how they look after their bodies and minds.
When we think about healthy living, we tend to focus on looking after our bodies – our physical wellbeing – through food, being active and getting enough sleep.
However, in order to be healthy overall, it’s important that we look after our minds – our mental wellbeing – too.
With Children’s Mental Health week about to start we would also like to put a link for parents to the Nip it in the Bud site whose mission is to help people develop an awareness of mental health problems in young children. They have produced a number of films which illustrate the behaviours common in different conditions in children, along with explanations and information on how to follow up and get help.
